Registered Nurse - Special Care Nursery - Nights

Position Overview

The Staff Nurse provides safe, compassionate nursing care across patient populations in a Level 2E Special Care Nursery. They collaborate with healthcare team members to develop, implement, and evaluate patient care plans, ensuring optimal outcomes and continuity of care.

Responsibilities

• Deliver patient-centered nursing care in a neonatal intensive care setting.
• Coordinate with physicians and clinical staff to plan and assess patient needs.
• Participate in patient care evaluations and documentation.

Qualifications & Skills

• Associate Degree or higher in Nursing; Bachelor’s Degree required within five years if only an Associate Degree held.
• Preferably 2+ years of NICU Level 3 RN experience.
• Current Illinois RN licensure, BLS, and NRP certification within six months.
• Strong communication, teamwork, and critical thinking skills.

Key Duties

• Provide high-quality neonatal care during night shifts with rotating weekends and holidays.
• Ensure adherence to clinical protocols and safety standards.
• Collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team to promote patient health and well-being.
