About the Role
Work in a 14-bed Surgical Intensive Care Unit (SICU) providing critical care for post-surgical, neurosurgical, neurological, and general critical patients.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care following organizational policies and protocols.
- Implement, monitor, and communicate patient care plans.
- Coordinate multidisciplinary care.
- Carry out physician and nursing orders.
- Assist with discharge planning.
- Deliver patient-centered care in a collaborative environment.
- Serve as primary coordinator among healthcare disciplines.
- Ensure accurate communication of patient conditions and adherence to physician orders.
- Assist with patient education.
Requirements
- Licensed Registered Nurse with valid licensure from the Alabama Board of Nursing.
- Current BLS certification within 30 days of hire.
- ACLS certification within 6 months.
- Experienced in patient assessment, care coordination, and documentation.
