About the role

The Clinical Coordinator/Registered Nurse Senior is accountable to provide professional nursing care to residents and provide oversight of the care given by RNs, and LPNs. This position provides leadership and expertise regarding the delivery of the clinical services in the development, implementation, and documentation of individualized service/care plans to meet the needs of Resident Veterans. This includes ensuring service/care plans are current and reflective of nursing interventions that address goals and needs of clients, completion of nursing assessments of clients seeking admission, readmission, or continued stay to determine criteria is met for needs being met at board and care level.

Responsibilities

  • Utilize advanced nursing skills to assess, promote and educate nursing staff in the nursing programs defined to give quality care to the residents.
  • Serve as lead for nursing department and provide guidance to nurses.
  • Assume the duties of the Infection Prevention Coordinator and be the subject matter expert in providing education, mentoring, leadership, monitoring progress and evaluation of the effectiveness of the Infection Prevention Program, which includes infection control policies, procedures, tracking, surveillance activities in accordance with regulatory bodies.

Requirements

  • Licensed in Minnesota as a Registered Nurse, in good standing.
  • Two years (2) of experience as a Registered Nurse working in mental health, chemical dependency, long term care and/or Board and Care facilities with primary responsibilities being nursing assessment and coordinating healthcare needs.
  • Experience with documentation and writing reports.
  • Ability to communicate effectively.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) or Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification.
  • Valid Driver's License or the ability to travel between Hastings and Minneapolis.

Qualifications

  • Experience in infection prevention for a facility or group.
  • Experience in RN Case Management.
  • Experience with development and implementation of care assessments and care plans, including quarterly reviews.
  • Experience working in an interdisciplinary team environment.
  • Experience in promptly identifying resident infections to include any precautions required, antibiotic stewardship, infection surveillance and resident and staff education regarding infection prevention.

Pay

  • $42.20 - $62.48 / hourly.
  • $88,113 - $130,458 / annually.

Schedule

  • Day Shift, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm.
  • Monday - Friday.
