About the role

This RN role will rotate through Admissions, PACU, Recovery and also Pain Management. Responsible for preparing patients for procedures, recovering patients, educating patients and families prior to discharge. Works with a strong team in a very patient driven environment.

Responsibilities

  • Perform initial and ongoing patient/family assessments and document per guidelines.
  • Develop, implement, and update individualized plans of care based on patient needs and expected outcomes.
  • Provide safe, ethical, patient ‑ centered care while supporting dignity, diversity, and autonomy.
  • Prioritize care based on patient condition and unit needs.
  • Safely administer medications and treatments; perform technical skills per policy.
  • Recognize and respond to emergencies, initiating appropriate interventions.
  • Evaluate patient responses to care and revise plans in collaboration with the care team.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, physicians, and interdisciplinary team members.
  • Supervise delegated tasks and ensure quality care delivery.
  • Participate in organizational activities such as committees, staff meetings, and unit initiatives.
  • Support student learning and staff development; serve in leadership roles as needed.
  • Maintain professional competence through continuing education and self ‑ assessment.
  • Build collaborative, collegial relationships across the healthcare team.
  • Identify and act on opportunities for process improvement.

    Requirements

    • Associate's Degree or Diploma in Nursing
    • New hires required to obtain BSN within 5 years of hire.
    • Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers (BLS)
    • ACLS/PALS may be required but is dependent on unit or department
    • Registered Nurse licensure required
    • Knowledge, judgment, and skills derived from the principles of biological, physical, behavioral, social, and nursing sciences to meet complex health care needs at various stages of the life cycle
    • Must have recent inpatient nursing experience of 2-3 years minimum

    Schedule

    Full Time - 32hrs/week Weekend, holiday and evening call rotation
