Registered Nurse RN Weekend Option Days 4 MS

Employment Type: Full time, Day Shift. Will work Saturday & Sunday 7a-7p — paid for 36 hours.

About the role

Registered Nurse – 4th Floor Med/Surg Unit works in a collaborative environment at St Mary’s Health Care System to deliver excellent patient care as part of an interdisciplinary team providing evidence-based medicine and individualized patient care. A Registered Nurse is expected to facilitate all aspects of the patient visit experience. 4 MedSurg is a 28-bed med/surg unit that cares for post-operative surgical patients and general med/surg. This unit is a TogetherTeam unit which is partnered with Virtual nurses.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients, including developing, evaluating, and modifying the care plan under limited supervision.
• Interpret and perform complex patient-care procedures specific to their expertise.
• Function as a member of the Care Team and Support Team to accomplish patient outcomes identified in the pathway/plan of care.
• Provide care via therapeutic use of self, the nursing process, the environment/technology, and other healthcare team members, according to established standards.

Requirements

• Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Georgia.
• Graduation from an accredited nursing education program approved by the Board of Nursing or found by the Board to be substantially equivalent to the programs in Georgia.
• Successful completion of a refresher course within the past 6 months if nursing practice has not occurred within the past 5 years.
• Prior experience in a similar role is preferred.
