Registered Nurse (RN) - Part-Time - Day Shift

About the role

The RN position at Eventide on Eighth Care Center is part-time, offering 12-hour day shifts with every third weekend and holiday rotation. Eventide will cover the initial cost of the Border State/Endorsement license to transfer from ND and adds a $2/hour weekend shift differential to the base wage.

Responsibilities

• Assesses residents' needs and health status through physical assessments, observations, and interviews.
• Provides individual attention to encourage residents' physical, mental, and psychosocial well-being.
• Follows residents' plans of care, updating and making changes as necessary.
• Administers medications and treatments, monitoring effectiveness.
• Provides direct nursing care as needed, following established policies, procedures, and standards.
• Complies with federal, state, and local regulations, as well as Eventide's policies and procedures.
• Documents nursing care accurately in residents' electronic medical records.
• Reports resident needs, problems, and observations to the Charge Nurse and/or attending physician.
• Maintains adequate staffing levels and corrects inadequate staffing.
• Monitors and assists subordinate staff, including participating in the disciplinary process.
• Ensures work responsibilities of subordinate staff are completed thoroughly and accurately.
• Communicates resident needs to resident care staff and interacts with physicians and other health care facilities as needed.
• Updates nursing skills and knowledge through in-services, continuing education, and staff meetings.
• Coordinates and participates in resident care conferences and communicates effectively with families.
• Reports any incidents or evidence of abuse, neglect, or violations of residents' rights promptly.

Requirements

Must have an active MN RN license or be able to obtain one upon hire. Experience in Long Term Care is preferred but not required.

Pay

Compensation range is $36 - $40.32 per hour for RNs, based on qualifications, experience, and location. Shift premiums and differentials are available.
