Registered Nurse (RN) in PACU - Post Anesthesia Care, providing patient care in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

• Assessing, planning, executing, and evaluating nursing care
• Managing multiple patients as primary or accountable nurse
• Educating patients and families on health promotion and disease management
• Safely administering medications, utilizing pharmacological knowledge
• Supporting unit productivity through resource management
• Ensuring compliance with standards and policies
• Participating in nursing governance, quality improvement, and professional development
• Mentoring new staff and students
• Performing charge nurse duties when assigned

Qualifications & Skills

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program
• Current New York RN license
• BSN preferred
• Clinical experience in acute or ambulatory care preferred
• Certifications such as CCRN, ACLS, PALS, TNCC are advantageous

Work Environment

Patient care areas requiring frequent walking, standing, and lifting; exposure to cleaning solutions and PPE; in proximity to patients and staff in a climate-controlled setting.
