Registered Nurse (RN) | PACU (Post-Anesthesia Care Unit)

About the Role

Provides comprehensive nursing care by developing diagnoses, establishing care objectives, and implementing interventions. Supports patients, families, and friends emotionally, psychologically, and spiritually, while ensuring safety and adherence to policies.

Responsibilities

  • Reviews physician prescriptions, communicates care plans, and coordinates with healthcare team members.
  • Develops nursing care plans based on medical histories, patient assessments, and social factors.
  • Educates patients and families on health conditions, medications, and self-care, answering questions and providing resources.
  • Evaluates patient outcomes, revises care plans as needed, and documents services accurately.
  • Maintains a safe environment by following infection control, medication, and safety protocols.
  • Ensures equipment functionality, maintains supplies, and performs preventive maintenance.
  • Demonstrates competence in nursing skills and adheres to organizational standards.

Requirements

  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the practicing state.
  • Effective communication and visual acuity to perform duties.
  • Preferred 1-3 years of clinical experience.
