About the role
Seeking a registered nurse to lead and coordinate patient care in the post-anesthesia setting.
Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive assessments and develop individualized care plans based on patient data, physician orders, and procedure-specific criteria.
- Deliver age-specific physical, psychological, social, and cultural care, including routine and emergency interventions.
- Administer medications and treatments per policies, evaluate patient progress, and educate patients and families on post-procedure care.
- Communicate patient status effectively to the care team and supervise team members through delegation, problem-solving, and feedback.
- Ensure care quality, safety, and adherence to professional nursing standards, while demonstrating strong organizational and teamwork skills.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
- Licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the respective state.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Life Support (ALS) certifications; additional certifications such as NRP, PALS may be required based on location.
Physical Demands
- Constant communication, standing, walking, and visual acuity.
- Frequent lifting, reaching, and data entry; occasional patient handling and movement.
