About the role
Provides specialized nursing care in the Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU), focusing on patient assessment, diagnosis, planning, and evaluation.
Responsibilities
- Promotes patient- and family-centered care, educates on post-treatment management, and ensures safety and regulatory compliance.
- Develops and documents individualized care plans, communicates across care teams, and evaluates physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs, respecting patient values and cultural considerations.
Qualifications & Skills
- Must have an RN license and a nursing diploma or associate's degree; bachelor's degree preferred.
- No prior experience required, but critical care or Phase I PACU experience is advantageous.
- Ability to work safely with alertness is essential.
