Registered Nurse (RN) - PACU

About the role

Provides high-quality, patient-centered nursing care utilizing the nursing process, collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate care and respond to patient condition changes.

Responsibilities

• Performs comprehensive assessments
• Manages pain
• Develops and revises care plans
• Administers medications accurately
• Documents care and responses promptly
• Demonstrates flexibility, critical thinking, and sound judgment in prioritizing and delegating tasks
• Educates patients and families
• Promotes safe practices
• Assists with procedures such as airway management and peri-anesthesia interventions
• Ensures age-appropriate care by understanding growth and development principles

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program
• Current Connecticut RN license
• Basic and Advanced Cardiac Life Support certifications
• Critical care experience preferred
