About the role
The Assistant Nurse Manager, OR is responsible for overseeing operations in the operating room, managing staff, and ensuring quality patient care.
Responsibilities
- Supervise, hire, train, and evaluate nursing staff, ensuring departmental productivity and performance aligns with organizational goals.
- Manage staffing needs, coordinate schedules, and oversee daily operations, including payroll and performance reviews.
- Coordinate patient care by developing collaborative care plans based on assessments, diagnoses, and treatments.
- Maintain equipment, monitor staff productivity, and support budget development and adherence.
- Lead staff communication, conduct performance evaluations, and implement corrective actions as needed.
Qualifications
- Registered Nurse (RN) license required.
- 2–5 years of nursing experience, with preferred additional experience in leadership roles.
- Experience in OR settings and supervisory experience preferred.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
