Registered Nurse RN Oncology Float

About the role

This dynamic role offers the opportunity to work across all areas of our comprehensive cancer center, providing critical nursing care where it's needed most based on daily census and patient needs.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care across multiple oncology units within the cancer center
• Float to various departments based on daily census and staffing requirements
• Deliver high-quality, compassionate care to oncology patients and their families
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Maintain clinical competency across diverse oncology care settings
• Administer chemotherapy and other oncology treatments (training provided for qualified candidates)

Requirements

• Current Colorado Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
• Minimum 1 year of acute care nursing experience
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
• Flexibility and adaptability to work in various oncology settings
• Commitment to patient-centered care

Qualifications

• Chemotherapy certification preferred (ONS/ONCC certification)
• Previous oncology nursing experience
• Experience floating between multiple units
• ACLS certification

Schedule

Monday-Friday, 0730-1730 (4x9 hour shifts per week)
