Registered Nurse - Float

Role Overview

The Registered Nurse Cath Lab Float provides specialized patient care within the Cardiology Department, under the guidance of the Cardiology Manager.

Key Responsibilities

• Administers medications
• Maintains and monitors vital signs and EKGs
• Performs patient assessments
• Documents accurate records
• Supports patient education and post-procedure care
• Responds to emergencies, including CPR
• Participates in in-service education
• Collects data for performance improvement
• Supports on-call duties, responding to emergencies within 30 minutes

Qualifications & Skills

• Graduation from an accredited nursing program
• Current Kansas nursing license
• BLS certification
• One year of cardiology-related nursing experience
• ACLS certification within six months
• Strong interpersonal, team skills, and basic computer knowledge preferred
