Registered Nurse - Float

About the role

Experienced registered nurses for a critical care float role across multiple departments including Emergency, Med/Surg, ICU, and Family Birth.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care following established policies and procedures, utilizing the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care.
• Advocate for patients and collaborate with families and healthcare teams.
• Educate patients and promote health and comfort.
• Demonstrate leadership by mentoring colleagues.
• Ensure safety and apply evidence-based practices.
• Perform point of care testing if needed.
• Adapt care to diverse human responses and cultural needs.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• 1-2 years of RN experience in critical care preferred.
• Ultrasound IV training is a plus.
• Must hold valid RN licensure and BLS certification in the relevant state.
• Physical ability to perform various movements, lifts, and assessments is required.
