Registered Nurse - Float

About the role

We are seeking a registered nurse for a float pool role providing direct patient care across multiple departments, including Emergency, Med/Surg, ICU, and potentially Family Birth.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality, evidence-based nursing care following organizational policies and procedures.
• Assess patient needs, develop, implement, and evaluate personalized care plans.
• Collaborate with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure holistic and culturally sensitive care.
• Educate patients and families on health measures and promote wellness.
• Utilize leadership and communication skills to foster a positive, safe work environment and coordinate care.
• Perform point-of-care testing and other assigned duties as needed.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• 1-2 years RN experience in critical care settings preferred.
• Knowledge of nursing standards, evidence-based practices, and cultural sensitivity.
• Strong communication, assessment, and teamwork skills.
• Physical ability to perform frequent standing, walking, lifting, and other physical tasks.

Licenses and Certifications

• Current RN license in applicable states (Illinois, Missouri, Oklahoma, Wisconsin).
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association.

Schedule

Night shift with rotating weekends and holidays.
