Registered Nurse - Float

Position Overview Provides direct clinical patient care under the supervision of the unit manager, assessing, planning, and implementing age-appropriate care across various hospital units. Responsible for supervising staff and ensuring high-quality, safe, and effective nursing services, while supporting resource management and staff competency. As part of the float pool, the RN gains experience in diverse clinical settings, including ICU, acute care, telemetry, emergency department, BHU, and OR, and must be adaptable to all designated areas. Qualifications & Skills Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional knowledge1-3 years nursing experienceMaryland RN licenseAmerican Heart Association BLS certificationAdditional certifications such as ACLS, PALS, or specialty credentials preferredCritical care and telemetry experience required for specific units Key Responsibilities Assess, plan, and deliver patient-centered care on a shift basisSupervise clinical staff and delegate appropriate tasksEnsure compliance with safety and quality standardsWork flexibly across multiple hospital departments to meet patient needs
