Role Overview: The registered nurse (RN) provides comprehensive patient care in a clinical setting, focusing on oncology and hematology. Responsibilities include assessing patient health, developing and implementing individualized care plans, administering medications, performing tests and treatments, and educating patients and families. The RN collaborates effectively with physicians and the healthcare team, ensures high-quality care, maintains accurate documentation, and upholds safety and infection control standards. The role involves back-up coverage for radiation/oncology clinics and requires strong communication, compassion, teamwork, and adherence to ethical practices. Qualifications: Active RN license in the practice state and certification in chemotherapy/immunotherapy from the Oncology Nursing Society are required. Preferred candidates have 1-3 years of oncology or infusion experience.Skills & Competencies: Effective communication, compassionate attitude, patient education, clinical assessment, medication administration, troubleshooting, and resource management. Ability to work collaboratively and maintain confidentiality is essential.Key Duties: Conduct patient assessments, develop care plans, assist during procedures, administer treatments, provide patient education, document care, and ensure safety and infection control standards.
