Role Overview

The registered nurse (RN) provides comprehensive patient care in a clinical setting, focusing on oncology and hematology. The role involves back-up coverage for radiation/oncology clinics and requires strong communication, compassion, teamwork, and adherence to ethical practices.

Key Duties

• Conduct patient assessments
• Develop and implement individualized care plans
• Assist during procedures
• Administer medications, perform tests and treatments
• Provide patient education
• Document care accurately
• Ensure safety and infection control standards
• Flexibility to adapt to patient and provider needs

Qualifications

• Active RN license in the practice state
• Certification in chemotherapy/immunotherapy from the Oncology Nursing Society (required)
• 1-3 years of oncology or infusion experience (preferred)
