Role Overview: The RN Clinical Nurse is a vital member of an interdisciplinary team dedicated to delivering high-quality, safe, and patient-centered care. They practice in a clinical environment guided by evidence-based standards, the Wellstar Professional Practice Model, and shared governance, ensuring individualized care tailored to diverse patient populations. Key Responsibilities Perform comprehensive nursing assessments, diagnoses, planning, implementation, and evaluation using critical thinking and evidence-based practices.Provide relationship-based, culturally sensitive care, partnering with patients and families to align care with their goals.Coordinate safe care delivery through effective communication, documentation, and collaboration within the healthcare team.Participate in performance improvement, research activities, and shared governance to promote quality and safety.Support professional development by mentoring colleagues, completing competency assessments, and staying current with clinical standards.Engage in resource planning, protocol development, and adherence to organizational policies and requirements. Qualifications & Skills Minimum education: Nursing diploma or associate degree; bachelor’s preferred.Licensure: Active RN license (single-state or multi-state compact) and BLS certification required.Experience: Less than one year of clinical nursing experience, including clinical hours during education; direct patient care experience preferred.Skills: Strong clinical judgment, communication, teamwork, and commitment to evidence-based practice and safety standards.
