Registered Nurse (RN) - Med/Surg Acute Care/Post Surgical/Burn/Bariatric - Full-Time Night Shift

Role Overview: The RN Resident is responsible for completing a 12-month Nurse Residency Program, supporting new graduates with less than 6 months of experience to transition into professional practice. Key Responsibilities Practice & Outcomes: Perform nursing assessments, diagnoses, planning, implementation, and evaluation using evidence-based standards. Provide patient and family-centered care respecting cultural diversity and patient goals.Teamwork & Collaboration: Coordinate safe, high-quality care through interdisciplinary communication, documentation, and participation in performance improvement activities. Support shared governance and promote a respectful environment.Professional Development & Initiative: Complete competency assessments, mandatory education, and serve as a preceptor or mentor to foster workforce development and model professional nursing practice.Evidence-Based Practice & Research: Promote research, participate in quality initiatives, and utilize evidence to improve care outcomes. Ensure compliance with organizational policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.Resources & Support: Plan patient care across the continuum, develop protocols, and optimize resource use to achieve best practice outcomes and reduce adverse events. Qualifications Diploma from an accredited nursing program; BSN preferred.Must be licensed as a Registered Nurse and knowledgeable of the Georgia Nurse Practice Act and standards of practice.
