Registered Nurse (RN) - MedSurg Acute Care/Post Surgical/Burn/Bariatric - Full-Time Days

The RN Clinical Nurse is a proactive member of an interdisciplinary team committed to delivering individualized, high-quality, and safe patient care. They practice within a clinical environment guided by evidence-based standards, the Wellstar Professional Practice Model, and shared governance. Their responsibilities include performing the nursing process, providing patient-centered care tailored to diverse populations, and partnering effectively with patients and families to meet care goals.

Responsibilities

• Perform assessments, diagnoses, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care using critical thinking and evidence-based practices.
• Coordinate safe, quality care through interdisciplinary communication and timely documentation.
• Promote team collaboration, support performance improvement initiatives, and participate in shared governance.
• Serve as a mentor or preceptor, fostering professional growth and maintaining a healthy work environment.
• Advocate for evidence-based practice, research, and compliance with regulatory and organizational standards.
• Plan resource utilization effectively and develop protocols to improve patient outcomes.

Qualifications & Skills

• Minimum of 5 years of RN experience with direct patient care preferred.
• Current RN license (single state or multi-state compact) and BLS certification required.
• Associates or Bachelor's degree in Nursing; Bachelor's preferred.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, time management, and critical thinking skills.
• Proficient in technology and clinical documentation.
• Ability to respond decisively to emergencies in a fast-paced environment.
