Registered Nurse (RN) - MedSurg/Acute Care/Post Surgical/Burn/Bariatric - Full-Time Days

About the role

The RN Clinical Nurse is a vital member of an interdisciplinary team, providing high-quality, safe, and patient-centered care. They practice within a framework guided by evidence-based standards, professional models, and organizational values, ensuring adherence to the Georgia Nurse Practice Act and the ANA Code of Ethics.

Responsibilities

• Performing the nursing process (assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, evaluation)
• Delivering culturally competent care
• Partnering with patients and families to meet individual goals
• Collaboration and teamwork: Coordinating care, documenting accurately, supporting performance improvement initiatives, and participating in shared governance
• Professional development: Completing ongoing competency assessments, serving as a preceptor or mentor, and engaging in research and evidence-based practice activities
• Resource management: Planning for patient needs across the continuum, developing protocols, and utilizing resources efficiently
• Compliance: Upholding policies, standards, and safety requirements, including accreditation standards

Qualifications

• Minimum of an associate degree or diploma in nursing (bachelor's preferred)
• Valid RN license (single or multi-state)
• BLS certification
• At least 5 years of RN experience, preferably in direct patient care
