Registered Nurse (RN) - MedSurg Acute Care/Post Surgical/Burn/Bariatric - Full-Time Days

About the Role

The RN Clinical Nurse is an integral member of an interdisciplinary care team, providing individualized, high-quality, and safe patient care in a clinical setting. They practice according to the Georgia Professional Nurse Practice Act, ANA Standards, and evidence-based guidelines, ensuring adherence to organizational policies and promoting optimal patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Perform the nursing process—assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation—using critical thinking and evidence-based practice.
• Deliver relationship-based, patient-centered care tailored to diverse populations and cultural needs.
• Partner with patients and families through effective communication, education, and shared decision-making.
• Coordinate and document safe, quality care, fostering teamwork, collaboration, and respectful clinical environments.
• Support professional development by completing competencies, mentoring colleagues, and serving as preceptor.
• Promote research, evidence-based practice, and performance improvement initiatives.
• Participate in protocol development, resource management, and continuous quality improvement activities.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor’s preferred.
• Active RN license in Georgia or multi-state compact license.
• Basic Life Support certification; instructor and provisional BLS certifications preferred.
• Less than one year of clinical experience post-nursing education; prior patient care experience preferred.
