About the Role
The RN Clinical Nurse is an integral member of an interdisciplinary care team, providing individualized, high-quality, and safe patient care in a clinical setting. They practice according to the Georgia Professional Nurse Practice Act, ANA Standards, and evidence-based guidelines, ensuring adherence to organizational policies and promoting optimal patient outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Perform the nursing process—assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation—using critical thinking and evidence-based practice.
- Deliver relationship-based, patient-centered care tailored to diverse populations and cultural needs.
- Partner with patients and families through effective communication, education, and shared decision-making.
- Coordinate and document safe, quality care, fostering teamwork, collaboration, and respectful clinical environments.
- Support professional development by completing competencies, mentoring colleagues, and serving as preceptor.
- Promote research, evidence-based practice, and performance improvement initiatives.
- Participate in protocol development, resource management, and continuous quality improvement activities.
Qualifications
- Associate’s Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor’s preferred.
- Active RN license in Georgia or multi-state compact license.
- Basic Life Support certification; instructor and provisional BLS certifications preferred.
- Less than one year of clinical experience post-nursing education; prior patient care experience preferred.
