About the role
The Medical Telemetry Observation Unit 6KLM is seeking experienced RNs to join their team. This unit is a 28-bed facility that often receives patients from the Emergency Department, offering a great learning opportunity for new graduates and newly licensed nurses. The unit cares for a diverse population with various diagnoses, averaging a two-day stay. It routinely handles patients with chronic pulmonary diseases, pneumonia, wounds, gastrointestinal issues, congestive heart failure, and a variety of procedures and medications.
Responsibilities
- Provide and coordinate comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures.
- Use evidence-based practice, clinical decision making, compassion, and effective communication while leading efforts to create the safest patient environment and the best patient experience across the continuum.
Requirements
- Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing
- Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices
- Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association
- Strong interest and passion for nursing and health equity
- A commitment to teamwork, communication, and continual professional growth
