Registered Nurse (RN) - Medical Surgical

About the Role

Provide patient-centered care to a diverse patient population in a Critical Care Step Down Unit, including those with Congestive Heart Failure, COPD, DKA, and Sepsis.

Responsibilities

• Utilize skills such as EKG interpretation, central line care, and bedside procedures (endoscopies, bronchoscopies).
• Employ critical thinking, delegation, and time management to deliver high-quality nursing care.
• Collaborate with Patient Care Nursing Assistants, Nurse Interns, providers, Physical Therapy (PT), and Occupational Therapy (OT).
• Monitor patients using advanced technology, including continuous telemetry and virtual whiteboards.
• Manage a 14-bed unit, ensuring safety and effective care delivery.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Current Ohio RN licensure.
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; ACLS required within 6 months.
• At least 1 year of relevant RN experience for PRN roles.
• All required certifications upon hire.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
• Professional certification recognized by the Magnet designation.
