About the Role
Provide patient-centered care to a diverse patient population in a Critical Care Step Down Unit, including those with Congestive Heart Failure, COPD, DKA, and Sepsis.
Responsibilities
- Utilize skills such as EKG interpretation, central line care, and bedside procedures (endoscopies, bronchoscopies).
- Employ critical thinking, delegation, and time management to deliver high-quality nursing care.
- Collaborate with Patient Care Nursing Assistants, Nurse Interns, providers, Physical Therapy (PT), and Occupational Therapy (OT).
- Monitor patients using advanced technology, including continuous telemetry and virtual whiteboards.
- Manage a 14-bed unit, ensuring safety and effective care delivery.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
- Current Ohio RN licensure.
- American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; ACLS required within 6 months.
- At least 1 year of relevant RN experience for PRN roles.
- All required certifications upon hire.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
- Professional certification recognized by the Magnet designation.
