About the role
Registered Nurse in the Critical Care Step Down Unit (7 West) at a Level One Trauma Center.
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality, patient-centered care for conditions such as Congestive Heart Failure, COPD, DKA, and Sepsis.
- Utilize skills in EKG interpretation, Central Line care, Rescue Bi-pap, High Flow Oxygen, Trach/Vents.
- Assist with bedside procedures like endoscopies and bronchoscopies.
- Demonstrate critical thinking, delegation, and effective time management.
- Collaborate with Patient Care Nursing Assistants, Nurse Interns, Providers, PT, and OT.
Unit Details
- 14-bed unit equipped with advanced technology including patient lifts, hands-free communication, virtual whiteboards, and telemetry monitoring.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program or seeking accreditation.
- Current RN licensure in Ohio.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (obtained within 90 days if necessary).
- ACLS certification (obtained within 6 months if necessary).
- PRN must have ≥1 year RN experience and all certifications at hire.
- Preferred: BSN degree and professional certification recognized by the Magnet designation.
