Registered Nurse (RN) - Medical Surgical

About the Role

This position provides direct clinical patient care, including assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care for assigned patients on a shift basis. It involves supervising staff to ensure high-quality, safe care, supporting the Chief Nursing Officer (CNO), and managing resources effectively.

Responsibilities

• Deliver proficient, age-specific nursing skills in accordance with hospital policies, legal standards, and the Tennessee Board of Nursing.
• Ensure staff competency, adherence to care standards, and appropriate delegation.
• Maintain documentation and compliance with certification requirements.
• Provide safe, compassionate patient care.
• Supervise and delegate to staff.
• Support quality improvement initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with departmental standards.

Requirements

• Active RN license.
• Graduation from an accredited nursing program.
• Current BLS certification.
• Preferred: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in nursing.
• Certifications such as ACLS, CPI, and PALS required within specified periods for certain departments.
