Registered Nurse (RN) - Medical Surgical

Role Overview: This position provides direct clinical patient care, including assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care for assigned patients on a shift basis. It involves supervising staff to ensure high-quality, safe care, supporting the Chief Nursing Officer (CNO), and managing resources effectively. Responsibilities: Deliver proficient, age-specific nursing skills in accordance with hospital policies, legal standards, and the Tennessee Board of Nursing. Ensure staff competency, adherence to care standards, and appropriate delegation. Maintain documentation and compliance with certification requirements. Qualifications & Skills: Requires an RN license, graduation from an accredited nursing program, and current BLS certification. Preferred qualifications include a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in nursing. Certifications such as ACLS, CPI, and PALS are required within specified periods for certain departments. Key Duties: Provide safe, compassionate patient care; supervise and delegate to staff; support quality improvement initiatives; and ensure compliance with departmental standards. The role emphasizes clinical proficiency, teamwork, and resource management to enhance patient outcomes.
