About the Role
Registered Nurse in a Critical Care Step Down Unit, primarily caring for patients with conditions such as CHF, COPD, DKA, and Sepsis.
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality, patient-centered care utilizing advanced technology such as telemetry monitoring, patient lifts, and virtual whiteboards.
- Assist with bedside procedures including endoscopies and bronchoscopies.
- Manage critical interventions like Bi-PAP, high flow oxygen, trachs, and vents.
- Collaborate with team members including PCNAs, interns, providers, PT, and OT.
- Demonstrate critical thinking, delegate tasks, and manage time effectively.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
- Current RN licensure in Ohio.
- BLS certification.
- ACLS certification required within 6 months of hire.
- PRN staff must have at least 1 year of relevant RN experience and certifications at hire.
Qualifications (Preferred)
- BSN degree.
- Professional certifications recognized by Magnet.
