Registered Nurse (RN) - Medical Stepdown - Day Shift
About the role
The 4N Medical Stepdown Unit at ChristianaCare - Wilmington Hospital is dedicated to caring for patients with a variety of diagnoses affecting multiple systems such as pneumonia, COPD, HF, stroke, change in mental status, diabetes, wounds, UTI, pancreatitis, stroke, and cellulitis. The unit serves patients ranging from adolescents to geriatric patients and offers a fast-paced learning environment where staff can develop their skills and knowledge.
Responsibilities
- Care for patients with a wide range of medical conditions
- Participate in ACLS certification and critical/emergent patient situations
- Apply best practices from evidence-based care
- Grow professionally and expand knowledge through the clinical ladder and supportive work environment
Requirements
- Delaware RN License or Compact Nursing License
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred or commitment to obtaining BSN within 3 years of hire date
- One to two years of experience in acute care or sub-acute care preferred
Qualifications
- Current Delaware RN License or Compact Nursing License
- Commitment to obtaining BSN within 3 years of hire date
- One to two years of experience in acute care or sub-acute care
Skills
- Effective communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to manage a diverse patient population
- Strong clinical judgment and problem-solving abilities

Pay
Hourly Pay Range: $41.28 - $66.05
