About the role
The Medical Intensive Care Unit at High Point Medical Center is a 20‑bed unit that provides exceptional care for critically ill patients. Nursing staff work alongside multiple providers and care teams to implement a multidisciplinary care team approach for patients and families. The unit utilizes advanced airway management, continuous renal replacement therapy, wound management, normothermia management, invasive hemodynamic monitoring, and titration of continuous infusion medication drips. High Point Medical Center, part of Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist, is a 351‑bed hospital serving the High Point community with a full range of hospital‑based services, including emergency, cardiovascular, vascular, general (including robotics), bariatric, neurosurgery, orthopedic and spine, women’s, behavioral health, and inpatient rehabilitation.
Responsibilities
As a skilled and compassionate RN, you will provide and coordinate comprehensive patient care through the nursing process, using evidence‑based practice, clinical decision making, compassion, and communication skills to create the safest patient environment and best patient experience across the continuum.
Requirements
- Completion of an accredited or approved nursing program
- Registered Nurse license issued by the state of practice
- Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification (American Heart Association)

Schedule
Full‑time position, 36 hours per week. Schedule consists of three 12‑hour shifts weekly (7 pm – 7:30 am) with a weekend program requiring a minimum of two shifts Friday‑Sunday; the weekend program qualifies for incentive pay.
Pay
Pay range: $38.20 – $57.30 per hour.
