Where You Will Work
The Medical Intensive Care Unit at High Point Medical Center is a 20‑bed unit that provides exceptional care for patients who are critically ill. Nursing staff work alongside multiple providers and care teams, implementing a multidisciplinary approach for patients and families. The unit utilizes advanced airway management, continuous renal replacement therapy, wound management, normothermia management, invasive hemodynamic monitoring, and titration of continuous infusion medication drips.
Requirements
- Completion of an accredited or approved nursing program.
- Registered Nurse license issued by the state of practice.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association.
- Greater than 1 year of RN experience (RNs with less than 1 year should apply to “New Graduate RN” openings).
What You’ll Do
As a skilled and compassionate RN, you will play a pivotal role in providing and coordinating comprehensive patient care through the nursing process. You will deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures, using evidence‑based practice, clinical decision‑making, compassion, and strong communication. You will lead efforts to create the safest patient environment and the best patient experience across the continuum.
