Registered Nurse (RN)- Medical ICU

About the role

The Medical ICU is an adult 32-bed unit overseeing the care of critically ill patients including but not limited to pulmonary disorders and infections, end-stage renal disease, gastrointestinal bleeds, sepsis, etc. The unit consists of one 24-bed unit with a nursing station between each 2-patient assignment, one 8-bed open-bay unit with a nursing station facing eight semi-private rooms, and one 24-bed unit with a nursing station between each 2-patient assignment.

Responsibilities

• Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing
• Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices
• Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association
• ACLS are required within 6 months of hire
• 1-2 years RN experience preferred
• Play a pivotal role in providing and coordinating comprehensive patient care through the nursing process
• Deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures
• Use evidence-based practice, clinical decision making, compassion, and skills communication
• Create the safest patient environment and the best patient experience across the continuum

Requirements
