About the role
Responsible for all aspects of the day-to-day operations of the clinic, including nursing, business office, and medical staff relations. Provides nursing service on an as-needed basis to meet clinic needs.
Responsibilities
- Manages, supervises, and coordinates day-to-day operations of the clinic to ensure efficient, cost-effective operation, including financial management, budget maintenance, expense management, staffing, and services offered.
- Collects data, prepares reports, analyzes statistics, and answers correspondence.
- Identifies and reviews operational problems, resolving issues or escalating to leadership as needed.
- Assists leadership with preparation, implementation, and monitoring of budgets and business plans.
- Recommends clinic facility improvements, including construction, renovation, and equipment purchases.
- Ensures clinic operations align with the organization’s mission, values, and philosophies.
- Ensures compliance with all regulatory agencies governing healthcare delivery and accrediting bodies; initiates changes as appropriate.
- Maintains open, professional communication with providers and involves them in clinic-affecting issues.
- Coordinates with leadership to monitor medical activities for cost-effective, high-quality patient care.
- Ensures proper credentialing and licensure are maintained.
- Administers staffing plans to ensure efficient, cost-effective operations; resolves medical-administrative problems to maintain high employee morale and a professional clinic atmosphere.
- Performs functions consistent with currently accepted nursing standards and principles.
- Handles employee-related responsibilities, including interviewing, hiring, training, performance appraisals, coaching, and addressing complaints.
Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Ability to work specified hours and perform essential job functions, including adequate visual acuity and effective communication.
