About the role
The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN) provides professional nursing care to patients and families in a clinical setting. They communicate effectively with physicians and healthcare team members to ensure high-quality patient care.
Responsibilities
- Perform general nursing duties, administer medications, and coordinate patient care activities.
- Assist providers during procedures, treatments, examinations, and testing.
- Monitor, record, and report patient conditions and reactions.
- Prepare exam rooms, greet patients, obtain health histories, take vitals, and conduct assessments.
- Educate patients and families on health topics, medication, and wellness.
- Manage appointment scheduling and ensure efficient patient flow.
- Respond to patient inquiries and ensure proper specimen labeling and lab record keeping.
Qualifications
- Valid RN license in the practice state.
- Strong communication skills, visual acuity, and ability to work effectively within a team.
- Must meet the physical and cognitive requirements of the role.
