About the role

The Part-Time RN/LPN position at Eventide Fargo works the PM shift (4:30 p.m.- 9:00 p.m.) with a set schedule of every other weekend, including a holiday rotation. The position offers a shift differential of $5 an hour for overnights and $2 an hour for weekend hours.

Responsibilities

  • Assesses residents' health status and needs through physical assessments, observations, and interviews on a continuing basis.
  • Plans, implements, and evaluates residents' individualized plans of care. Updates and makes appropriate changes in plans of care whenever necessary.
  • Administers medications and treatments and monitors each for effectiveness.
  • Provides direct nursing care to residents whenever necessary according to established nursing policies, procedures, and standards.
  • Provides accurate documentation in the residents’ records according to established resident care policies, procedures, and standards.
  • Provides effective leadership to subordinate staff, which may include disciplinary measures.
  • Safeguards adequate staffing levels for a scheduled shift and assists in finding replacements when needed.
  • Communicates the needs of the residents to all resident care staff on the unit.
  • Interacts with physicians and advanced practitioners and health care facilities as needed, according to the needs of the residents.
  • Continually updates nursing skills and knowledge by attending in-services, continuing education programs, and staff meetings.
  • Aids in resident care conferences.
  • Aids in the orientation/training of new team members.
  • Encourages and assists residents to attain their highest physical, mental, psychosocial well-being.
  • Promptly reports any incidents or evidence of abuse, neglect or violation of resident’s rights per policy.
  • Complies with rules and regulations as set forth by the Department of Health and the Center for Medicare/Medicaid services.
  • Manages their individual electronic timecard on a daily basis.

Requirements

Ideal candidates must have an active ND RN or LPN License or be able to obtain one upon hire. Long-term care experience is preferred but not required.

Qualifications

Must have a high school diploma or equivalent. A bachelor's degree in nursing is preferred. Must pass a background check and drug screen.

Skills

Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential. Proficiency in computer systems and software is required.

Pay

The pay range for this position is $36 - $40.32 for RNs and $29 - $32.48 for LPNs per hour, based on qualifications, experience, and location. Shift premiums and differentials are also available.

Schedule

The PM shift runs from 4:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., with a holiday rotation and every other weekend schedule.
