Registered Nurse (RN) ICU
About the role
A Registered Nurse (RN) ICU joining our team at Los Alamos Medical Center is part of a diverse healthcare network dedicated to enhancing community health. You'll contribute by providing direct patient care, monitoring conditions, coordinating care, and educating patients.
Responsibilities
- Provides direct patient care using the nursing process, including medication administration, treatments, and daily living assistance
- Maintains patient records and communicates status changes to ensure timely and appropriate care
- Collaborates with interdisciplinary teams to plan, implement, and evaluate patient care
- Educates patients and families about their health and treatment options
- Acts as an advocate for patients' physical and emotional well-being
Qualifications
- Current state RN license
- Associate’s degree from an accredited nursing school
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications within three months of hire
- PALS/ENPC certification within six months of hire or transfer into position
- One year of relevant experience preferred
Schedule
3x12, 4x10, 5x8 shifts, alternating days and nights, rotating weekends, every 3rd weekend, and on-call, holidays, etc.
