Registered Nurse (RN) ICU
About the Role
Join Sovah Health, part of Lifepoint Health, as a Registered Nurse (RN) in our 19-bed closed ICU. This full-time, night-shift position requires a 12-hour shift (7P-7A) with a 36-hour workweek, including every other weekend. You’ll work in a supportive, team-based environment with a 1:2 nurse-to-patient ratio and physician coverage from Critical Care and Residency Physicians, focusing on high-acuity patient care and professional growth.
Responsibilities
- Perform plan of care interventions, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, and other medical care activities.
- Document patient care provided.
- Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition to the care team, physician, patient, and family.
- Assist patients with activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.
- Collaborate across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including transfers, discharges, referrals, and psychosocial/spiritual support needs.
- Evaluate learning needs of patient and/or family and provide education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances.
- Advocate for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient.
- Participate in performance improvement and continuing education.
- Provide quality patient care and work flexible shifts or units as needed.
Requirements
- Current RN license in Virginia or a compact state.
- Associate's degree in nursing (required).
- Bachelor's degree in nursing (preferred).
- American Heart Association Basic Life Support certification.
- American Heart Association ACLS certification (within 6 months of hire).
- Experience in a clinical area (preferred).

Pay
Hourly range: $33.19 - $44.81.
Schedule
Full-time, 12-hour night shifts (7P-7A), 36 hours per week, including every other weekend.
