As a Registered Nurse (RN) House Supervisor joining our team, you're embracing a vital mission dedicated to making communities healthier.

Responsibilities

  • Utilize specialized plan-of-care intervention and serve as a patient-care innovator.
  • Shape exceptional patient journeys every day and leverage skills and cutting-edge technology to directly impact patient wellbeing.
  • Provide off-hour leadership and function as a resource person for staff members.
  • Assist in patient care and be responsible for overall quality of patient care in the facility.
  • Supervise and mentor nursing and support staff during assigned shift.
  • Determine staffing level and assignments based on staff availability, staff abilities, census, patient acuity and work/patient flow.
  • Provide direct patient care as needed.
  • Floate between staff to assist with problem-solving.
  • May take patient assignments to meet staffing needs.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of patient care and identify any issues that affect desired patient outcomes.
  • Respond to complaints about patient care and related services, and manage through established channels.
  • Perform role-specific duties as assigned, including entering orders, performing admissions or discharges, and coordinating transfers.
  • Ensure staff has necessary equipment and supplies to provide safe, quality patient care.
  • Integrate evidence-based practices into operations and clinical protocols.
  • Create and foster an environment that encourages professional growth.
  • Initiate weekend case management, Utilization review screening, assist with D/C planning and swing intake.

Requirements

  • Current state RN license.
  • Bachelor's degree or associate degree from an accredited nursing school.
  • 2-3 years of RN Emergency Department experience.
  • 1 year of relevant supervisory experience (preferred).
  • Critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
  • Ability to quickly learn how to navigate multiple complex software systems.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with the ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.

Pay

Rotating wage scale: $46.93 - $65.70 per hour.
