Registered Nurse (RN) | Full Time | Nights - Acute Care Nursing
Job Description
The Registered Nurse at Singing River Health System is responsible for providing patient care utilizing the Nursing Process. They must be educated in nursing and licensed to practice in Mississippi. Required certifications include BCLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC depending on the specialty area. Experience in inpatient settings is preferred, with a minimum of one year within the last five years. The position reports to a Patient Care Manager and supervises LPNs, Patient Care Assistants, and Unit Technicians. Physical demands include moderate activity, lifting, pushing, pulling, and repetitive motions. Mental demands involve keen assessment and decision-making abilities, effective communication, and the ability to work under pressure.
Qualifications
- Graduate from an NLN School of Nursing
- Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in Mississippi
- BCLS certification upon hire
- ACLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC certifications as required for specialty areas
- One year of inpatient clinical experience, preferred
- De-escalation training completed by 90 days
