Registered Nurse - Acute Care - Full Time - Nights

About the role

Guthrie Robert Packer Hospital in Sayre, PA, is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse for a full-time night shift position in our 12-bed Acute Care Unit on 6 Main. This role involves caring for a diverse patient population with conditions including CHF, neuro, and telemetry cases. The schedule is three 12-hour shifts per week from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM.

Requirements

• Registered Nurse licensed in the state of practice
• BSN in Nursing preferred; agreements for obtaining a Bachelor’s degree remain in effect
• Specialty certification preferred
• BLS certification
• ACLS and PALS certifications are unit dependent

Experience

• At least one year of RN experience, or transitioned from the Newly Licensed Registered Nurse Residency (NLRN) Program
• Must maintain BLS certification
• ACLS is unit dependent

Responsibilities

• Assess, diagnose, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care; develop and update care plans to achieve patient goals and optimize outcomes
• Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition as appropriate
• Advocate for ethical and holistic care, partnering in care planning to promote autonomy, dignity, rights, values, and beliefs
• Foster a learning environment for patients, families, nursing staff, and other healthcare team members
• Ensure safety and quality by integrating evidence and best practices into nursing care; use data to improve patient outcomes
• Engage in ongoing professional development and practice at the top of license within legal parameters
• Demonstrate leadership as a change agent; delegate, coordinate care, and collaborate with the inter-professional team
• Use independent, critical judgment in all aspects of patient care delivery
• Manage multiple responsibilities, urgent responses, and challenging situations effectively

Other Duties

• Proficiency in information technology, including electronic health records and communication systems
