Registered Nurse (RN) Emergency Services

About the role

The ER Services Registered Nurse (RN) position at Meadowview Regional Medical Center is a PRN role. This role is part of Lifepoint Health, a diversified healthcare network with facilities nationwide.

Responsibilities

• Performs plan of care interventions, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, and other medical care activities.
• Documents patient care provided.
• Maintains regular and reliable attendance.
• Maintains patient condition to the care team, physician, patient, and family.
• Aids patients with activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.
• Collaborates across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including transfers, discharges, referrals, and psychosocial/spiritual support needs.
• Evaluates patient and family learning needs and provides appropriate education based on age, culture, condition, and circumstances.
• Advocates for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient.
• Participates in performance improvement and continuing education.
• Provides quality patient care and works flexible shifts or units as needed.

Requirements

• Current Kentucky or compact state RN license.
• Associate's degree from an accredited nursing school.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within one month of hire.
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), and Handle with Care certifications required within 1 year of hire.

• Bachelor's degree preferred.
