Responsibilities

  • Provides direct patient care in the Emergency Department using the nursing process in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice as well as Performs plan of care interventions, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, and other medical care activities.
  • Documents patient care provided.
  • Maintains regular and reliable attendance.
  • Evaluates patient and family learning needs and provides appropriate education based on age, culture, condition, and circumstances.
  • Advocates for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient.
  • Collaborates across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including transfers, discharges, referrals, and psychosocial/spiritual support needs.
  • Participates in performance improvement and continuing education.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • A current state RN license.
  • An Associate's Degree from an accredited nursing school.
  • BCLS required; ACLS, PALS, and Handle with Care preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years ED experience preferred.

Qualifications

  • Associate's Degree required, BSN preferred.

Pay

Commensurate with experience.

3x12, Nights (6:30p-7a), Rotating Weekends
