Registered Nurse (RN) - Emergency Services
About the role
The Registered Nurse is directly accountable for the care given to patients in the Emergency Department. He / She communicates with the physician about the changes in the patients clinical condition including results of the diagnostic studies and symptomatology. Is able to respond quickly and accurately to changes in the condition and/or response to treatment. Is knowledgeable about EMTALA regulations and reporting of child/adult abuse to appropriate agencies.

Requirements
- Current and valid CA RN License
- Minimum of one year as a staff nurse in an acute care hospital or E.R setting preferred
Qualifications
- BCLS, ACLS upon hire and maintain current
- PALS required within 30 days from date of hire
- EDAP and EDAP II required within 6 months from date of hire
Skills
- Knowledge of EMTALA regulations
- Ability to respond quickly and accurately to changes in the condition and/or response to treatment
- Knowledgeable about reporting child/adult abuse to appropriate agencies

Pay
The current compensation range for this role is $43.68 to $62.41. The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, in which a wide range of factors will be considered, including but not limited to, skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials and licensure.
