Registered Nurse (RN) - Emergency Room (ED) - Full-Time Days Shift

Brings passion to Texas Health to be part of the Better + Together team. Works at Texas Health Denton, located at 3000 N I-35, Denton, TX 76201. Full-time day shift, 36 hours per week, 3-12 hour shifts, 7:00 am - 7:00 pm.

Responsibilities

• Delivers care to patients utilizing the Nursing Process
• Assesses the patient
• Plans the care of the patient
• Intervenes as appropriate
• Evaluates the effectiveness of interventions
• Incorporates age specific safety/infection control measures into patient care
• Initiates action to meet patient and/or significant others' need for information
• Maintains continuity of patient care inter-shift, inter-hospital, and while expediting out of hospital transfers

Requirements

• Associate Degree in Nursing or Nursing Diploma required; BSN preferred
• CLIAFE Must comply with CLIA regulations regarding foreign education equivalency (required)
• RN - Registered Nurse Upon Hire required
• BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly required
• AACLS - ACLS within 90 days of hire
• CPI - Crisis Prevention Intervention Training within 90 days of hire
• ENPC - Emergency Nurse Pediatric Course - 12 months required
• TNCC - Trauma Nursing Core Course - 12 months required
• PALS - PALS within 90 days of hire

Qualifications

• 1-year of Experience as a Registered Nurse or completion of an RN residency program required
• 2-3 years ER experience preferred
