About the role

The Lexington Medical Center Emergency Department focuses on patient care, nursing satisfaction, safety, and teamwork. It offers 25 beds and specialized areas for core emergency care, super track services, and behavioral health support. The department is part of the Advocate system and implements advanced technology to deliver essential healthcare services.

Responsibilities

• Provide and coordinate comprehensive patient care through the nursing process.
• Deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures.
• Use evidence-based practice and clinical decision making.
• Lead efforts to create the safest patient environment and the best patient experience.

Requirements

• Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing.
• Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association.
• ACLS certification within 6 months of hire.
• 2 years of ED experience preferred.
