Registered Nurse (RN) - Emergency Department
About the role
Integrate emergency care for individual patients and implement nursing standards in the processes of care. Utilize the nursing process in caring for all patients, including assessing symptoms, planning interventions, implementing treatment plans, evaluating responses to interventions, and revising the plan based on overall effectiveness.
Demonstrate the skills necessary to provide age-appropriate care to the population served. Adhere to the established practice standards and procedures at New London Hospital in the administration of all medications and in-patient care activities. Document care provided using hospital standards. Provide education to patients and families based on assessment of learning needs. Follow the Standards of Practice established for the Emergency Services Department.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
- Minimum 2 years of clinical practice required
- ED experience preferred
Qualifications
- Licensed RN with NH eligibility
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
