About the Role

As a Registered Nurse in the Emergency Department at Atrium Health Navicent Peach, you will play a pivotal role in providing and coordinating comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures. This position involves using evidence-based practice, clinical decision making, compassion, and skilled communication while leading efforts to create the safest patient environment and the best patient experience across the continuum.

The Emergency Department is a 14-bed unit with nursing-to-patient ratios maintained at either 3:1 or 4:1, ensuring attentive, personalized care and timely responses to patient needs. The department has earned the ENA Lantern Award in 2025 for exceptional and innovative performance in leadership, practice, education, advocacy, and research.

Responsibilities

  • Provide and coordinate comprehensive patient care using the nursing process.
  • Deliver safe, therapeutic care in line with established standards, policies, and procedures.
  • Apply evidence-based practice and clinical decision-making in patient care.
  • Lead efforts to ensure a safe patient environment and optimal patient experience.

Requirements

  • Completion of an accredited or approved nursing program.
  • Registered Nurse license issued by the state of practice.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association.
  • Emergency Room experience is preferred.

Atrium Health Navicent Peach, located in Byron, Georgia, is a designated critical access hospital serving Peach and surrounding counties for 60 years. The facility offers:
