About the Location
The Atrium Health Floyd Emergency Department is a Level 2 Trauma center with 52 licensed beds and surge capacity, making it the leading emergency department in the region. The department is equipped to care for traumatic injuries, acute illnesses, chronic illnesses, psychiatric conditions, and various other conditions.
The Atrium Health Floyd family of health care services is a leading medical provider and economic force in northwest Georgia and northeast Alabama. It is part of Charlotte, North Carolina-based Advocate Health, the third-largest nonprofit health system in the United States. Atrium Health Floyd also operates a stand-alone emergency department in Chattooga County, the first such facility built from the ground up in Georgia.
Requirements
- Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing
- Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices
- Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association
- Emergency Room experience is preferred
Responsibilities
As a skilled and compassionate RN, you will play a pivotal role in providing and coordinating comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures.

- Lead efforts to create the safest patient environment and the best patient experience across the continuum
