Registered Nurse (RN) Educator specializing in diabetes care.

Responsibilities

• Develop and lead patient education programs
• Assess and triage patients for diabetes-related complications
• Instruct on medication and device use
• Interpret blood glucose data
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams
• Promote diabetes awareness through community outreach
• Support quality initiatives
• Stay current with best practices in diabetes management

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years healthcare experience
• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
• Current NY RN license
• CPR certification
• Certification as a Diabetes Educator (to be obtained within 2 years)

Skills

• Experience in primary or specialty care (preferred)
• Additional certifications (preferred)
• Valid driver’s license (preferred)

Work Environment

Office setting with exposure to equipment and disinfectants, requiring mobility, sitting, walking, standing, and bending. PPE usage per infection control guidelines. Serves patients of all ages.
