About the role

Join our team as a Registered Nurse (RN) at Chicago Behavioral Hospital. We are seeking a passionate and dedicated caregiver to provide exceptional direct care and support to our patients.

Responsibilities

• Assess, coordinate, and evaluate patient care through collaborative efforts with health team members in accordance with the nursing process and the standards of care and practices.
• Actively engage in the health care team, offering direct and indirect care to patients, families, and legal guardians.
• Assess patients' physical and psychological conditions continuously throughout their care journey.
• Utilize the nursing process in alignment with the philosophy, objectives, values, mission, and core principles of CBH.
• Uphold a safe therapeutic environment grounded in our core values.
• Collaborate as an integral member of the multidisciplinary treatment team, actively contributing to the development, implementation, and documentation of tailored goals and interventions based on patient strengths and psychiatric challenges.

Requirements

• Graduate from an accredited program of professional nursing required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Currently licensed to practice by the Illinois State Board of Nursing.
• A minimum of three (3) years’ experience in a psychiatric facility preferred.
• CPR certification and management of aggressive behavior training within 30 days of employment prior to assisting in a restraining procedure.
• Must be able to pass a competency exam for the area upon hire.
• May be required to work flexible hours and overtime.

Pay

• Days: $34.00 - $49.00/hr (includes shift differential)
• Nights: $34.00 - $50.00/hr (includes shift differential)
• Weekend Days: $34.00 - $51.00/hr (includes shift differential)
• Weekend Nights: $34.00 - $52.00/hr (includes shift differential)

Schedule

7:30a-7p, three shifts per week, including every other weekend.

Benefits

Benefits are subject to change at the discretion of Chicago Behavioral Hospital. Compensation This is a full-time role and the expected compensation range for this role is $34.00 - $52.00 an hour, plus free medical coverage up to family coverage.
